Working as the Health & Safety Senior Adviser for the Faculty of Engineering, Computing & Environment, across two campuses, Penrhyn Road and Roehampton Vale, you will have responsibility to ensure that all laboratories, workshops and offices are fully compliant with the latest health & Safety legislation, placing students and staff as a priority. The role will also include managing the health & safety requirements for student field trips.
Please note this is a place-based role and therefore you will be required to work on campus Monday to Friday.
The Person
We are looking for someone with knowledge and experience of working in engineering based teaching and research laboratories, with a strong understanding and experience of the health and safety requirements for this environment. A NEBOSH National General Certificate or equivalent is a requirement for this post. You will have a willingness to undertake this training on appointment if this qualification is not already held and be committed to your ongoing professional development.
