Birmingham Newman University runs a thriving and innovative Foundation Year which prepares students to study for a wide range of subjects across the university. There are two entry points (September and January) and so the course runs from September to July each year.
This post provides an opportunity for a teaching-focused academic to provide high quality teaching on an innovative, multi-disciplinary programme. The post-holder will teach on Foundation Year modules, support students, and contribute to programme administration, sharing best practice throughout the Faculty and with franchise partners
Applicants must possess a first degree in a relevant area, a Higher degree, a PhD or near completion of a PhD, and a teaching qualification or equivalent. Experience of teaching at Foundation level, at undergraduate level and of the personal tutor role, is also essential
