The Nuffield Department of Population Health undertakes world-leading research into long term, chronic health conditions, operating large-scale long-term studies and projects to identify the causes, prevention and treatment of diseases that result in avoidable suffering for millions of people around the world. Based within NDPH, The Ethox Centre is an internationally recognised multidisciplinary bioethics research centre and is a friendly, vibrant and intellectually stimulating place to work.

This is an exciting opportunity to work closely with Professor Michael Parker and Professor Patricia Kingori, the role will include undertaking reviews and analyses of relevant ethics, social science, and political philosophy literature, drafting papers, developing and coordinating a seminar series, overseeing the development of a journal special issue, and of a podcast on this cluster of topics. 
 
You will hold, or be close to completion of, a relevant PhD/DPhil, have relevant experience in the integration of social science methods and ethical analysis and possess sufficient specialist knowledge of ethics to work within established research programmes.
 
This is a full time (part time considered), fixed term for 2 years.
