About us
The UCL School of Management is home to UCL’s business and management research and education programmes, and has a reputation for world-leading research and teaching. The School is also a member of the Chartered Association of Business Schools.
About the role
This is a new leadership role within UCL School of Management’s Careers Team to lead the School’s dedicated MBA Careers provision. In this job, you will be responsible for designing, developing and delivering a first-class programme of careers activity to students studying, or alumni who have studied, the UCL MBA Global Management within SoM.
This would include individual/group coaching appointments, workshops, seminars, and developing an online learning portal, focusing on all aspects of executive level career development and support across global labour markets.
You will also be responsible for collating/reporting on relevant data and feedback, including initiating a process to collate students’ outcome, salary and employability data at various points throughout and when they leave the programme. You'll also line manage a Senior Employer Engagement Officer with a 0.5FTE allocation to the MBA programme.
A full job description is attached to this advert.
About you
UCL MBA students are often senior executives located in all parts of the world, with considerable work experience behind them and spanning a wide range of ages. You will therefore need to have a high level of confidence, experience and a global perspective to be able to effectively relate to MBA students. You'll need substantial experience supporting executive-level clients in a coaching capacity through all aspects of their career planning and development, including navigating challenging professional situations and career changes/transitions.
You should also have experience of developing online learning resources and other careers activities (e.g., workshops/seminars), and be a confident presenter/facilitator. You should be effective as a manager of both projects and people, and ideally would have previous experience of working with MBA students in a business school setting.
Please review our job description, paying particular attention to the essential/desirable criteria, and ensure these are covered in your application.
