About the role:
The Institute of Global Health Innovation (IGHI), led by Professor Ara Darzi, is seeking to appoint a Research Associate in behavioural science in cancer screening. The role holder will conduct and support a funded research study working with a Local Authority (LA) to set up and run a Community Engagement study to improve the uptake of breast cancer screening. This project will be working with Hounslow Local Authority’s Public Health team. Imperial in collaboration with Hounslow LA have received an NIHR Public Health Research grant for a 3.5-year quasi-experimental study to explore whether a community engagement campaign delivering a package of behavioural science informed intervention materials (leaflet, wallet card, bus stop adverts, animated video) through community champions within a LA improves uptake of breast cancer screening on a population and subgroup level compared to non-participating LAs.
