Churchill College is seeking a talented individual for the new position of Bursar’s Executive Assistant and Governance Administrator.

The Bursar plays a pivotal role in the College, with responsibility for its governance, finances, investments, estates and operations, and you will be integral to supporting a breadth of activity. Your main focus will be to ensure the smooth and efficient running of the office. This will involve pro-actively managing the Bursar’s diary and schedule of meetings, effectively identifying  priorities and tracking key projects to ensure timely actions and outputs. You will also manage the communication flow to and from the office and provide high level administrative support including research, data gathering and process review. The role also involves a significant element of governance support, acting as Secretary to College committees and working groups, providing support to meetings as needed, including preparation of agenda, collation and distribution of papers, minute taking, tracking actions and cascading decisions.

Excellent organisational and time-management skills and attention to detail are essential to this post, as is first-class verbal and written communication. You must have a flexible and adaptable approach and be able to act on your own initiative to prioritise conflicting demands. Outstanding interpersonal skills, to work with multiple stakeholders and teams across the College and beyond will be important. The ability to deal with sensitive and confidential matters appropriately is also key. Previous experience in a high-level administrative role is essential and having worked in a similar educational environment will be an advantage. Experience of servicing committees and producing accurate documentation is also essential.
