Overall Purpose of the Job:

The Senior Financial Analyst (Research) will be a senior member of the Faculty Finance team, working under the guidance of the Head of Faculty Finance, Head of Faculty Financial Reporting and Analysis and Head of Research Finance.

You will be responsible for managing the financial planning, budgeting, forecasting and reporting processes for research at a consolidated Faculty level. This will include analysis of performance, the development of automated financial models and the use of financial analysis skills to improve reporting processes. You will develop and continuously improve management information to budget holders.

The post holder will act as a key finance partner to the Associate Dean for Research (ADR) and will provide strategic financial input to the Faculty’s research plans. The post holder will be responsible for the delivery of all aspects of financial reporting and accounting for research grants and contracts within the faculty.

The post holder will be expected to be customer focused, flexible in their approach, and to work in conjunction with other finance colleagues across the organization.
