Role
As an Admissions Officer at De Montfort University, you will play a critical role in supporting the Admissions Managers by overseeing a team of Admissions Administrators and ensuring the delivery of a first-class applicant experience. Your responsibilities will include managing key admissions activities such as selection events, confirmation and clearing, and scholarship and bursary allocation. You will also handle application processing, enquiry handling, and provide accurate reports to stakeholders. In this role, you will work closely with various university departments, ensuring compliance with institutional offer strategies and service level agreements. Additionally, you will be involved in staff development, monitoring customer care standards, and supporting the implementation of admissions policies.
Ideal Candidate
You will need to be an organised and detail-oriented professional with substantial experience in admissions or a related field. Your ability to manage a team, handle complex queries, and provide exceptional customer service is essential. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are required to liaise effectively with key stakeholders and deliver accurate information and reports. You should be adept at managing events and coordinating resources to cover peak periods within the admissions cycle. A commitment to continuous improvement, compliance with statutory requirements, and the ability to work flexibly, including outside core operating hours, are key attributes.
