We are seeking an ambitious and forward-thinking Senior Lecturer to join our dynamic Fashion Marketing team. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced academic or industry professional to contribute to a vibrant course that fuses creativity, strategy, and critical thinking within the ever-evolving fashion landscape.
Our Fashion Marketing degree offers students an immersive learning experience where creativity meets commercial insight. The course focuses on developing students’ distinct voices and skillsets, underpinned by a critical awareness of the social, cultural, political, and ethical dimensions shaping the fashion industry. From branding and trend forecasting to content creation and digital strategy, students graduate with a future-facing portfolio and a deep understanding of contemporary marketing practice.
The main focus on the role will be to lead, develop, deliver, support and assess theory focused fashion marketing modules, but with the ability to instruct students on how to apply this to practical outcomes, across customer and brand behaviour, promotional strategies, brand identity development and production, digital and social media marketing, strategy, visual merchandising, and trend prediction analysis. You will also have experience teaching academic writing in a fashion marketing context.
You will need the skills or connections to build links with industry partners and support students in developing professional portfolios through practical projects and foster collaborative work with other creative departments such as Fashion Photography, Fashion Design, and Filmmaking.
The successful candidate will have up-to-date knowledge of digital tools, platforms, and trends influencing the global fashion industry. You will also be expected to engage with the University’s research agenda.
Experience using the Adobe Creative Suite of programmes is desirable.
