- THE ROLE -
The postholder will contribute to teaching, research, enterprise and business engagement for undergraduate and postgraduate programmes in Illustration with a focus on creative and commercial practices. They will undertake administrative duties related to undergraduate and postgraduate Illustration programmes and engage in high-quality research activities. The postholder will provide teaching and academic support on BA Illustration, Year 0 (Foundation in Art and Design) and related programmes at undergraduate and postgraduate levels, contributing to an outstanding student experience at Ulster University's Belfast School of Art in preparation for industry-relevant specialisation and progression into professional life.
- ABOUT YOU -
1. A Master's Qualification (MA/MFA) in Illustration, Visual Communication, Fine Art or related subject area OR a first or upper second-class honours degree in Illustration or equivalent degree level qualification in Visual Communication, Fine Art or related subject area, plus significant experience.
2. Experience of teaching and assessment of Illustration, Visual Communication, Fine Art or equivalent in higher education.
3. Extensive experience in the use of a wide range of Illustration research, practices and methods, particularly in creative, publishing and other professional contexts relating to narrative/sequence/story.
4. Evidence of successful completion of Illustration projects in a professional environment.
