- THE ROLE -
As the Student Sport Coordinator for one of the four university sites, the role holder will focus on the day-to-day delivery, coordination and planning of student sport activity in line with the aspirations and quality standards of the 10-year UU Sport Action Plan. This Plan itself works towards the delivery of the overall UU Strategy: People, Place and Partnership. This role will be responsible for coordinating all aspects of the day-to-day of resources, equipment, programmes, and activities that engage all student cohorts. Your role will include coordinating the delivery of all indoor and outdoor programmes, including playing field and water sport operations (as appropriate).
You will work closely with the Student Sport Officer and wider UU Sport Team to deliver new ‘student experience’ frameworks and standards, and action plans for increasing participation, enhancing equipment, and coordinating appropriate coaches. The role will have the main day-to-day responsibility for the safe delivery and coordination of our student sport Health, Safety & Wellbeing plan (as part of the overall UU Sport plan).
- ABOUT YOU -
- A Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent Level 6 qualification) in a relevant subject area.
OR A-levels (or equivalent Level 3 qualification) and work experience relevant to the role.
- Experience in the area of sports management, development and/or administration.
- Experience in the development and implementation of policies and procedures relating to programme development and delivery.
- Willingness to travel between campuses, and work evenings and weekends as required by the needs of the post.
