Hammersmith Campus with regular travel to the Royal Brompton and White City Campuses.
Due to the nature of the work, the role is based on-site though some flexibility for hybrid working can be accommodated.
This is a key role within the NHLI, sitting at the intersection of internal operations and external engagement, the role will work closely with the Head of Institute (HoI) and Director of Operations (DoO) to manage the Head of Institutes and the NHLIs existing external relationships and partnerships. In addition, the role holder will lead on developing and securing new partnerships for the NHLI by planning and delivering events with both internal and external high-profile stakeholders. By managing and increasing the NHLIs external collaborations and partnerships the postholder will be contributing to the delivery of the NHLIs strategy, increasing our visibility and impact.
What you would be doing:
You will support the HoI in her external roles, for example, Editor-in Chief of JAMA and President of the Leducq foundation. You will provide efficient management of the HoIs external facing activities including industry and charitable foundation engagements. As the primary point of contact, you will correspond with industry, academic, charitable and NHS partners on behalf of the HoI. In addition, you will provide research, analysis and recommendations on potential new partnerships and develop those opportunities through networking, planning and delivering events.
