The role
The University of Bristol Library is looking to appoint a Head of Research Support (Open Access) to provide the strategic and operational lead for Open Access publications and eTheses. Working collaboratively with the Head of Research Support (Data) you will co-lead the Library Research Support team which provide services for Open Access Publications, Research Data Management, eTheses, Research Data Metrics and Digital Scholarship within the institution. You will be part of a wider Leadership Team in the Library who are responsible for providing leadership and direction to support the development of strategic planning for Library Services, informing the Library Senior Management Team of trends and opportunities arising in your area of responsibility.

The successful candidate will have deep knowledge of the open research landscape, in particular the academic open publishing environment and related policies and practices, combined with experience of leading and developing a high-quality, user-focussed research services. You will be able to demonstrate proven ability to plan, develop and deliver a complex range of services to a wide range of stakeholders, whilst ensuring the service supports the strategic aims of the organisation.
