About the Role
This role will support the Barts Charity Doctoral Training Programme (DTP) that is focused on developing biomedical researchers to address health challenges faced by the East London community. This is a new initiative that will train 25 PhD students within the Faculty of Medicine and Dentistry. The DTP Manager and Training Coordinator will administer student recruitment, support the development of training resources, facilitate community-engaged research, manage relationships with internal and external stakeholders and ensure the smooth running of the programme. The postholder will be instrumental in embedding equality, diversity, and inclusion (EDI) principles in the programme and will work towards ensuring its strategic objectives are delivered.
About You
The successful candidate will have proven ability to manage complex projects and priorities workloads along with analytical skills and ability to develop innovative solutions. You will have a Biomedical Science or related degree, and ideally a PhD and/or significant project management experience. We would encourage applications both from individual who have worked as research scientists and are looking for a new challenge in a research support role, or those with previous experience of supporting postgraduate training programmes.

The post is based at the Charterhouse Square Campus in London. It is full time (35 hours per week), fixed term appointment for five years. The starting salary will be Grade 5, in the range of £44,288 - £51,755 per annum inclusive of London Allowance.
