This project forms part of a broader programme of research in proof-theoretic semantics based at UCL and in the Institute of Philosophy at the University of London’s School of Advanced Study. The project involves aspects of philosophy, logic, and informatics.
About the role
Department of Computer Science, Programming Principles, Logic, and Verification Group, and Institute of Philosophy, School of Advanced Study, University of London The project will involve developing an inferentialist metaphysics of information, its logical realization in terms of proof-theoretic semantics, and consideration of applications in systems modelling. The results of this research are to be disseminated through oral presentations in seminars and at leading conferences, written publications in conference proceedings, written publications in leading journals, and other venues.

About you
The successful candidate will have a PhD in philosophical logic, research expertise in philosophical and mathematical logic, with specific experience, achievements, publications and interests in the following: base-extension semantics for modal and epistemic logics; situation theory; the metaphysics of information.
