The department of Clinical, Educational and Health Psychology, within the Division of Psychology and Language Sciences, wishes to appoint a new Lecturer (Assistant Professor) in Child and Adolescent Mental Health. The postholder will join the UCL-Anna Freud partnership.

About the role

The successful candidate will be conducting research activities of international quality and to contribute to the advancement of knowledge and scholarship, evidenced through publications and other research activities at a level of international significance. Further, within the UCL-Anna Freud partnership, the main duties will be the development and running of a new 1-year MSc in the field of child and adolescent mental health as well as supporting the current Co-heads of Postgraduate Studies in managing student casework, line management of staff, dissemination and implementation of UCL requirements and regulations for PGS programs.

An acceptable DBS check is required to carry out this role.

We will consider applications to work on a part-time, flexible and job share basis wherever possible.

This role is eligible for hybrid working with a minimum of 60% on site.

About you

The candidate must hold a PhD or Doctorate in Psychology with a strong publication record, experience securing external funding, and a deep understanding of child and adolescent mental health. They must demonstrate teaching experience at undergraduate or Master�s level, PhD supervision contributions, and experience in the mental health charity sector are desirable. Strong organisational, analytical, and communication skills, proficiency in statistical software, and the ability to support junior researchers are essential.
