Salary: The starting salary will be from £38,784 up to £46,049 per annum (pro rata) in Grade 7, depending on qualifications and experience.
An opportunity exists for a motivated and talented individual to join the University as Senior Executive Officer to the Vice-Chancellor (VC). Holding a front-facing, pivotal role within the Vice-Chancellor’s Office at the heart of the University, this role will act as an ambassador both internally and externally for the VC, alongside providing a full range of administrative and support services, facilitating the smooth running of their professional life.
The Vice-Chancellor’s Office is a small and busy unit, interacting closely with staff across the University and external stakeholders. Designated Executive Assistants provide support to the Executive Team, namely the Deputy Vice Chancellor, Pro-Vice Chancellors, Director of Finance & University Secretary and Chief Operating Officer. The office also provides support to the Chancellor, Pro-Chancellors and Board of Governors.
Applicants should ideally be educated to degree level, with experience of senior support roles, preferably within a complex institution/organisation. You should also have the ability to work with a minimum of supervision and have precise writing skills and a good standard of literacy, together with well-developed interpersonal skills.
Please note that this role is office based, and you will be expected to be in the office 5 days per week at our Campus in Horsforth. You may also be required to work at our Leeds City Centre campus.
