Applications are invited for a permanent post of a Lecturer/Assistant Professor in Molecular Cell Biology within UCD School of Biology & Environmental Biology.
Applications are invited for the post of Lecturer/Assistant Professor (above the bar) in molecular cell biology. Candidates should ideally have proven research interests in either fundamental cell biology processes (for example nuclear dynamics, cell division, cytoskeleton function) or cell biology applied to human diseases. We are particularly interested in receiving applications from candidates whose work involves the use of animal systems, in particular cultured cells and/or cell models. This is a full-time, permanent academic post in the School of Biology & Environmental Science (SBES) at University College Dublin. The School offers a diverse portfolio of programmes, including, BSc degrees in Cell & Molecular Biology, Plant Biology, Zoology and Environmental Biology as well as co-teaching a BSc degree in Genetics. At postgraduate level the School delivers a number of degrees, including an MSc degree in Biological & Biomolecular Science (by negotiated learning), w hich incorporates specialisation streams in cell biology and genetics, as well as MSc degrees in Applied Environmental Science, Environmental Sustainability, Plant Biology & Biotechnology. The School also contributes to a joint BSc degrees in Biological Sciences, Horticulture, Food Quality and Safety with South China Agricultural University (SCAU) in Guangzhou in China.

Appointment will be made on scale and in accordance with the Department of Finance guidelines.
