About the Faculty
The Faculty of Life Sciences & Medicine is one of the largest and most successful centres for research and education in the UK. The Faculty brings together translational and clinical scientists to provide new cross-divisional research collaborations while optimising the deployment of teaching expertise across the Faculty.
With a student body of 6,000, the Faculty’s Schools of Bioscience Education and GKT School of Medical Education deliver a comprehensive education and traininig portfolio, including undergraduate health professions programmes (Medicine, Nutrition & Dietetics, Pharmacy, Physiotherapy) and a wide-range of BSc and MSci programmes in the biomedical sciences / biomedical engineering. The Faculty also has an expansive postgraduate taught programme portfolio with around 40 programmes covering basic science, programmes for health professionals and pharmacy/pharmacology.
