The UK Data Archive is seeking to appoint to the new position of Senior Learning and Development Lead, where you will play a pivotal role in enhancing researcher skills and compliance across social science discipline.
The UK Data Archive is the lead organisation of the UK Data Service, a national data infrastructure funded by the ESRC through the UKRI to acquire, preserve, and disseminate social sciences data, and to provide support, guidance and training for the development of skills in data management, curation, and use.
You will take ownership of reviewing, developing and delivering high-quality training resources aligned with the new pan-UKRI policy. You will ensure the UK Data Service Research Data Management Learning Hub covers guidance for the full spectrum of social science data types, from qualitative interviews to experimental and nationally representative surveys and opinion polls.
Your expertise will guide the creation of practical, user-friendly training materials such as written guidance, interactive modules, case studies, videos, and templates, supporting researchers to manage and share data in line with best practices. You will be supported by an experienced internal team and engage strategically with internal and external stakeholders, including UKRI and other data services, to validate and refine training content.
