About the Role
We are seeking a professional and diligent Executive Assistant to provide comprehensive support to the Centre Lead and other PIs, ensuring the efficient day-to-day operation of the Centre for Experimental Medicine & Rheumatology. The role involves managing correspondence, meetings, and records; coordinating Centre activities; and serving as the main point of contact for internal and external stakeholders. The post holder supports the Centre Lead and other Academics, ensuring smooth communication, effective organisation, and confidentiality at all times.
About You
The ideal candidate will excellent communication skills, and the ability to build strong working relationships with a wide range of stakeholders. As a trusted point of contact, the postholder must exercise a high level of confidentiality, diplomacy, reliability, agility, efficiency, accuracy and organisation to effectively manage competing priorities. Experience managing diaries, coordinating meetings. Experience organising events, travel, and logistics, including international arrangements. Experience in communications, preparing website and social media content to improve visibility of the department.
About the School/Department/Institute/Project
EMR is a thriving multi-disciplinary interface for collaborative approach between basic scientist, clinicians, bioinformaticians and clinical team. The Centre is focused on to better understand the disease pathogenesis of several autoimmune diseases including RA. EMR is part of the newly awarded Biomedical Research Centre (BRC), the Musculoskeletal theme will encompass bio-informatician analysis, organ on-a chip development, small molecules testing, precision medicine trials, and development of a single cell platform.
