The section of Marketing, Student Recruitment, and Admissions brings together the main areas involved in leading the University's student recruitment as well as strategic positioning and profile. Engaging with students, staff and stakeholders, we promote the University's excellence in research and education, and ensure its profile is communicated in a consistent way. Duties of the Role
The successful candidate will be part of a team responsible for delivering the University’s UK student recruitment, conversion, schools’ liaison activities and recruitment events. Duties will include representing the University at higher education exhibitions, on-campus events such as Open Days, giving presentations and advice on a wide range of HE topics and developing relationships with key recruitment stakeholders, including schools, colleges and other third-party providers. The post-holder will be required to work closely with colleagues across Marketing and Admissions as well as academic departments to ensure an informed and efficient approach to student recruitment activity.
We are looking for the role holder to be based in London, working mostly remotely, but with a requirement to attend team meetings/away days, key recruitment events and other ad hoc meetings at our Colchester (and on occasion Southend) Campus, with travel costs covered. The post holders will be required to work some weekends and evenings. The role will require undertaking travel around the UK, and as a result we are looking for a candidate who has a full UK-valid driving licence and access to a vehicle.

Skills and qualifications required
The post-holder will hold a degree or equivalent level of qualification or experience, as well as an interest in, and knowledge of, current issues in the higher education sector, including funding sources.
The successful candidate will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with experience in public speaking. They will be motivated and proactive, working flexibly and to tight deadlines, both independently and as part of a team. The post-holder will have experience or organising events for a wide range of audiences and demonstrate excellent organisational and administrative skills.
