Showcase your talents as part of our vibrant Greater Manchester campus community. At the University of Greater Manchester, we’re committed to delivering a rewarding experience for all our students, characterised by greater prospects, greater connections and greater support.
We’re a Guardian Top 35 ranked University, driven by consistently high student satisfaction ratings. Our distinctive teaching approach – the ‘Greater Manchester Way’ – delivers inclusive, supportive, and career-focused learning for every student.
As a UKVI Compliance Assistant, you’ll play a vital role in supporting our international student community by ensuring compliance with UK Visas and Immigration (UKVI) regulations. You’ll be part of a dedicated and friendly team that monitors and maintains our student visa records, ensuring we meet the requirements of our sponsor licence while providing an efficient, professional, and supportive service to applicants and students.
Day-to-day, you’ll assist with processing international applications, maintaining accurate student data in our systems, supporting Confirmation of Acceptance for Studies (CAS) issuance, and helping to monitor key compliance activities such as attendance, enrolment, and progression. You’ll also respond to enquiries from students and colleagues, help prepare reports, and support events such as Open Days and Clearing.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong administrative skills, exceptional attention to detail, and an interest in international education and compliance. You’ll be confident using digital systems, able to work accurately under pressure, and enjoy working collaboratively with colleagues across the University.
If you’re organised, conscientious, and passionate about supporting international students while upholding high standards of compliance, we’d love to hear from you.
Successful applicants will be required to prove their right to work in the UK prior to the commencement of their employment.
Whilst the University of Greater Manchester is a licensed sponsor, under UK Visas and Immigration (UKVI) not all roles are eligible for visa sponsorship.
This position may not meet the criteria for a Certificate of Sponsorship (CoS).
Eligibility will be assessed in line with the Home Office requirements at the time of making the offer.
