About us

UCL is a globally leading university with a long-standing commitment to inclusivity and innovation. Founded in 1826 in the heart of London, we were the first university in England to welcome students of any religion and the first to admit women to university education. Today, UCL is home to more than 50,000 students and 16,000 staff and is consistently ranked among the world’s top 10 universities.

The Vice-President External Engagement (VPEE) team leads UCL’s communications and marketing activity, ensuring the university’s public profile, reputation and influence reflect its excellence in research, education and innovation.

About the role

We are seeking a creative and analytical Senior Marketing Communications Officer to lead our paid student recruitment advertising campaigns and help strengthen UCL’s global reach. This role offers an exciting opportunity to shape how prospective students engage with UCL through strategic, data-driven digital marketing.

Working closely with the Marketing Communications Manager, you will develop and deliver high-quality digital campaigns across multiple platforms. You will collaborate with internal teams and external media and creative agencies to plan activity, optimise performance and ensure campaigns support UCL’s student recruitment objectives. A key part of the role will involve producing compelling, authentic content for both paid and organic channels, working directly with students and alumni to bring real voices into our storytelling.

Analytical insight will be central to your success. You will monitor campaign performance, analyse lead data and work with CRM and Digital teams to provide clear, actionable reporting. Your work will help drive decision-making, support continuous improvement and ensure campaigns deliver measurable results.

This is a permanent role, available from 12 January 2026. UCL operates hybrid working, with two days per week based at our King’s Cross office.
