The Hamilton Kerr Institute (HKI) is one of the world's leading centres for teaching and research in conservation and heritage science.

We are seeking a Senior Paper Conservator to join our expert team. This is a unique opportunity to shape the future of conservation while safeguarding the treasures of the past. Working closely with the Director, you will teach and supervise postgraduate students in conservation theory and practical techniques to the highest professional standards. You will examine, document and carry out conservation treatments on easel paintings and other painted surfaces, including polychrome sculpture, ensuring work of the very highest quality. Alongside this, you will lead and oversee research projects and publications that advance knowledge and set new benchmarks in the field.

Fixed-term: The funds for this post are available for 2 years in the first instance.
