Our Information and Library Services Directorate delivers award winning IT services and support, library, academic and digital skills and learning enhancement to staff and students across the university. Our digital mission is to ensure everyone in our community is equipped to effectively use digital services, data and technology with confidence, efficiency and creativity in their learning, teaching, research and organisational support.
The university is seeking an IT Efficiency Optimisation Analyst to support initiatives aimed at reducing operational expenditure and enhancing efficiency within the IT environment. This role involves analysing various aspects of IT operations, including software licensing, cloud service consumption, and IT Service Management processes, to identify and implement efficiency and cost-saving measures and process improvements.
The role holder will assist in analysing IT operations to identify opportunities for cost reduction and improved efficiency. You will support the management of software licensing and cloud service compliance, ensuring usage remains both cost-effective and aligned with regulatory standards. Your contributions will include budget oversight related to software and cloud costs, and you will collaborate closely with colleagues and stakeholders to ensure systems and processes are fit for purpose. Additionally, you will help deliver high-quality IT solutions and monitor infrastructure services within your area of responsibility.
This role is ideal for someone with a keen eye for operational efficiency and a passion for delivering secure, resilient systems that meet the evolving needs of a dynamic educational environment.
Candidates must be educated to degree level or equivalent experiential learning, or professional qualification in a relevant business discipline.
