We’re looking for an experienced and motivated individual for a key leadership role within our IT Purchasing Team, part of Computing and Library Services. This is an exciting opportunity to support Schools and Services across the University, while helping to deliver high-quality, customer-focused IT services aligned with our Digital Strategy.
In this role, you will lead and develop a team working across Desktop Support, IT Purchasing, and Software Compliance, ensuring each area operates efficiently and continues to evolve. Your strong understanding of IT procurement and supplier management will be essential, along with your ability to manage and resolve complex incidents and problems escalated by IT teams and users.
The successful candidate will have experience managing and motivating diverse staff in an IT support setting, actively contributing to service improvement strategies, and consistently following IT service management best practices. Essential technical knowledge of computer hardware and software is also required.

An ITIL Foundation certification (or requirement to achieve it within your first 12 months of employment) is essential. You’ll also need excellent interpersonal skills and the confidence to build effective relationships across academic and professional service departments.
