About the role:
The Leverhulme Centre for the Holobiont is at the cutting edge of microbiome research. We are looking for a Centre Manager that will help build on these strengths to ensure that the Centre is an exciting, collaborative research environment.
You will serve two roles. First, you will coordinate research activities across the Centre with the assistance of the Centre Director and Leadership Team. You will work across all faculties and institutions involved to facilitate research activities and collaborations, taking a leading role in identifying research synergies and exploiting research opportunities. Second, you will lead in Centre operations, for example ensuring that budgets and milestones are met, and leading the organisation of symposia and workshops.
You will act as the key point of contact for all stakeholders, and will be central in incubating a collaborative and collegial multidisciplinary culture. You will have the ability to manage a varied and busy programme of activities with a high degree of autonomy. This is a busy and varied post requiring you to multi-task and to work to deadlines. You must be proactive in your approach to your duties and be able to work with minimum supervision. The post involves a high level of interaction with stakeholders, staff of all levels as well as students.
This post is co-funded by the departments of Life Sciences, Bioengineering, and Metabolism, Digestion and Reproduction.

We are looking for an enthusiastic advocate for microbiome science who can interact with researchers and other stakeholders to build a world-leading research consortium. This will be a coordinating role, the you will be expected to help tie together the research activities of the Centre by regularly meeting with stakeholders and researchers and organising events (joint meetings, workshops, conferences, etc.).
Further Information
This post will be based at Silwood Park Campus (Imperial College London) but will be co-hosted across partner Imperial faculties based on other Imperial campuses that would require regular visits. The position will also include site visits to partner institutions.
The post is full time, fixed term for 24 months, with possibilty of extension.
