We are seeking to recruit an enthusiastic and motivated Placements Coordinator to join GPEG to support the team, on behalf of the Department and undergraduate Deanery Team.
Each year GPEG provides over 17 weeks full-time clinical teaching to 950 medical students. We are looking for someone who has excellent organisation and communication skills and is a competent user of standard software packages such as Microsoft Office, Outlook, Excel and Word.
You will be self-motivated and reliable and have experience of course administration with an understanding of the relevant theory and/or principles.
You will also have excellent interpersonal, planning and organisational skills and be educated to degree level qualification/Level 6 vocational qualification or have equivalent level of practical experience. You will be able to make measured decisions and prioritise your workload to meet multiple competing deadlines.
Your key responsibilities will be to effectively administer the smooth running of the GP placements for 950 students across 180 GP practices, dealing with queries and concerns from students and GP practices, and overseeing the administrative team supporting in-person teaching.
