The University of Greenwich is seeking an experienced and forward‑thinking Employee Relations & Change Manager to join our People Directorate. This is a pivotal role within a complex, ambitious organisation undergoing significant transformation. If you thrive on navigating challenging employee relations issues, influencing positive organisational change, and coaching leaders to bring out the best in their teams, we’d love to hear from you.
As our Employee Relations & Change Manager, you will lead on the end‑to‑end management of complex employee relations casework, including disciplinary, grievance, performance, absence, ill‑health retirement, redundancy and alternative dispute resolution. You’ll act as a trusted expert to managers and employees, providing clear, confident advice grounded in employment law, policy and best practice.
You will also play a key role in supporting organisational change initiatives such as restructures working closely with senior leaders and trade union representatives to ensure fair, transparent and legally compliant processes.
This role offers the opportunity to shape how the University approaches employee relations, strengthen capability across the organisation, and contribute to a culture that reflects our values of Inclusivity, Collaboration and Impact.
We’re looking for someone who brings both expertise and emotional intelligence with a drive for continuous professional development.
