About Better Space
Opening in 2020, Better Space is an affordable co-working and community space developed in partnership between CSGU and Islington Council to support local businesses, with a focus on social enterprises. Located at 127 Farringdon Road, the space provides over 70 desks for entrepreneurs, social impact start-ups and charities, alongside an event space, meeting rooms and a communal kitchen. We now have more than 130 members and are always developing our programmes and events to generate social value in Islington.
The Role
The Community Assistant will be the first face members are greeted with and the first point of contact for questions or connections. Working with the Community Team, you will manage inbound event and membership enquiries, coordinate tours, and support the running of events for members and external clients. You will also work with the Senior Community Officer on marketing content including newsletters, social media and blog contributions. This is an exciting opportunity to develop and influence an innovative initiative delivering social value to City's broader community.
About You
This role is for you if you have a genuine passion for customer service, ideally in a co-working environment. You are solution-focused, personable, and someone who rolls their sleeves up as part of a team. You are confident supporting events, handling sales enquiries, and interested in building and nurturing communities. You have some experience with digital marketing across social media and other channels, communicate clearly in writing and in person, and have a keen eye for detail. You care about social impact and want to support entrepreneurs making a difference.
