The Role
We are recruiting to the role of Deputy Head of Student Immigration and Compliance to join the Student Immigration and Compliance team. The team is central to ensuring the University is compliant with its UKVI sponsor duties and for the management and operational administration of the University’s sponsor licence. This is an exciting time to join the team as we play a key role in supporting the University deliver on its ambitious strategy over the next 5 years.
This role is ideal for someone who has experience in managing immigration and compliance operations. The successful candidate will work with the Head of Student Immigration and Compliance to ensure the University continues to support our international students, and UKVI sponsor duties. The post holder will collaborate with colleagues across both academic and professional services functions, to deliver a service supporting the student journey from application to graduation, as such the ability to understand and interpret varying needs is crucial.
Key responsibilities will include daily management of the Student Immigration and Compliance team, overseeing the key sponsor duties including, the management of reports capturing key data are produced regularly and in a timely manner, working with the Head of Student Immigration and Compliance to monitor, review and enhance existing compliance focussed policies and procedures across the University.
The successful candidate will have skills and experience including knowledge and understanding of UKVI policies affecting students and sponsor duties, experience of using the UKVI Sponsor Management System, experience in UKVI compliance processes and reporting, experience of providing training to a range of staff both academic and professional services and experience of interpreting regulatory frameworks and detailed understanding of their implication and impact.
