We are seeking to appoint a Trusted Research Specialist to join the Nuffield Department of Medicine (NDM). NDM has a broad and internationally collaborative research portfolio, working with partners across the globe to address major health challenges.
This role will support the proactive management of risks associated with international research collaboration, ensuring that partnerships are conducted in line with regulatory, security and compliance requirements. Working closely with researchers, the University Trusted Research Office and professional services teams, you will play a key role in supporting due diligence, strengthening trusted research practices, and maintaining robust processes to enable safe and effective global research collaboration.
You will be responsible for working with researchers and professional services colleagues to identify, manage and mitigate risks in international collaborations. You will advise on trusted research, support due diligence and assurance processes, and provide guidance on UK Export Control legislation and compliance. You will contribute to training and awareness activities, support coordination and review of collaborations, maintain records and reporting systems, and represent the Department in relevant networks.
It is essential that you are educated to degree level or have equivalent experience, with strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret complex information. You will have experience managing workloads, maintaining accuracy, and delivering high levels of service. You will demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills, the ability to build effective working relationships, deliver training, manage competing priorities, and adapt to changing policy environments. Knowledge of research security and risks in international collaboration is essential.
