An exciting opportunity has arisen within the School of Pharmacy at the University of Huddersfield. We are a successful department offering excellent teaching and research facilities, and are seeking to appoint a Lecturer in Medicinal Chemistry to contribute to teaching and ideally research in this area within the School of Applied Sciences.
The role centres on teaching key principles of inorganic and organic chemistry to undergraduate pharmacy students, with a strong focus on the application of principles to pharmacy. The successful candidate will be expected to contribute at all levels to undergraduate teaching within the discipline. The role requires leadership and delivery of modules and associated practicals, along with appropriate assessment strategies. You will also be expected to provide wider support as a personal tutor and support student recruitment.
You will have a degree and a PhD in relevant areas, with experience in undergraduate-level teaching. Candidates will have a proposed research programme in Medicinal Chemistry, with a synthetic and/or computational focus that supplements current research within the School of Applied Sciences.
