An exciting opportunity has arisen to deliver education and training within the School of Pharmacy at the University of Huddersfield. We are a successful department offering excellent teaching and research facilities, and are seeking to appoint an experienced pharmacy practitioner with a proven record of supporting the education, training, and professional development of the healthcare workforce.
You must be a UK registered pharmacist. This post is ideally suited to an experienced academic clinical practitioner who is wanting to further develop their academic career while continuing to maintain an active clinical practice. If you would like to use your skills and experience to make a real difference to the future of the profession, we would welcome your application and look forward to hearing from you.
You will be responsible for organising and delivering teaching and simulation for students on pharmacy programmes, requiring relevant clinical experience to inform and inspire students to become excellent practitioners. You will contribute to the design and delivery of learning and teaching materials (including examinations), and co-ordinate and support the development of modules within degree programmes, whilst liaising with Programme and Year tutors and those in other Subject Groups.
The Pharmacy Department is a great place to work with a supportive and collegiate environment and excellent research facilities. We are proud to hold a Silver Athena SWAN award, recognising our advancement in gender equality.
We provide an exciting, stimulating place to learn and work. Our standards of academic achievement are high, our environment is inspiring, and we embrace innovation in all that we do. With exceptional opportunities for staff development, our students are not the only ones who thrive here.
The University of Huddersfield is a thriving University with a modern campus offering fantastic facilities for work and leisure. We have a diverse student body and professional partnerships with the NHS and healthcare partners. Huddersfield is a lively town which is close to beautiful countryside and has excellent road and rail links to Manchester, Leeds, and Sheffield.
As a Practitioner, we expect you to be actively engaged in practice in addition to your role at the University. This can be either through paid employment with another employer, paid consultancy or freelance work.
The University is deeply committed to equality and diversity for all its students and staff. We seek to be diverse and inclusive, supporting individuals and groups to fulfil their potential and nurture a sense of belonging. We strive to be an accessible, inclusive employer, removing barriers for all. Find out more about our approach to Equality, Diversity and Inclusion, including our commitments and accreditations as a Disability Confident Employer, Stonewall Gold Award holder and Top 100 Employer, Athena SWAN Bronze Award holder and Race Equality Charter Bronze Award holder.
