Job description:
We have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and motivated professional to join the central Safeguarding and Welfare team as a Safeguarding and Welfare Officer.
The Safeguarding and Welfare Officer will play an important role in the delivery of key services in the team as directed. This will include supporting both Safeguarding and Welfare Managers and the Section Lead: Safeguarding and Welfare in the delivery of their remits of managing processes within the team. You will also support the team Administrator as required in triaging cases and information received into the team and liaising with students and staff as required to signpost key services and processes. This role will also help manage safeguarding and welfare cases and provide support for Risk Assessment panel meetings.
You will play a key role in ensuring that the Team delivers an excellent service to students, to support them through their journey at University, whatever their circumstances. This is a demanding role and the successful candidate will demonstrate the ability to effectively prioritise workload and undertake risk assessments in a fast paced environment.
