The University of Buckingham is looking for an exceptional Carpenter / Joiner to join our Estates Team and play a vital role in maintaining the safety, quality and functionality of one of the UK's most distinctive university estates.
This is far more than a traditional carpentry role.
You will be at the forefront of our fire safety programme, carrying out the inspection, repair, maintenance and installation of fire doors across a diverse portfolio of academic buildings, student residences, commercial facilities and historic properties. Alongside this specialist work, you will also undertake a varied range of carpentry and joinery projects that directly enhance the student and staff experience.

The Role
Your primary focus will be ensuring the University's fire doors remain safe, compliant and fully operational. You will carry out inspections, adjustments, repairs, upgrades and installations, helping to protect thousands of students, staff and visitors every year.
