The University of Wolverhampton is seeking an experienced, compassionate and highly organised Support to Study Coordinator to support the delivery of its Student Support and Safety framework within the Student Life Directorate.
This role is central to the implementation of the University’s new Student Support and Safety Policy Suite, including Support to Study, Cause for Concern, Fit to Train, Pregnant Student Support and Trusted Contact processes. You will work closely with senior colleagues to coordinate complex student support cases, ensuring timely, proportionate and legally compliant interventions that promote student wellbeing, safeguarding and continuation.
Key responsibilities include coordinating Cause for Concern, Support to Study and Fit to Train referrals; preparing and supporting weekly panels; overseeing Stage 1 and Stage 2 interventions; escalating safeguarding concerns appropriately; maintaining accurate case records; and supporting the implementation of the Report & Support system. You will work collaboratively with Faculties, placement teams and professional services to ensure safe student participation.
You will have experience coordinating complex casework, working across multi-disciplinary teams, and supporting individuals with wellbeing, behavioural or safeguarding concerns. Strong organisational and communication skills, sound professional judgement, and the ability to manage sensitive information are essential. A solid understanding of equality, inclusion and safeguarding principles is required.
Experience in Higher Education, student support, safeguarding or case management is highly desirable.
This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to a values-led, student-centred approach to support and risk management.
