Daphne Jackson Fellowship opportunity

Applications are invited for a three year part-time (0.5 FTE) Daphne Jackson Fellowship with the UK Health Security Agency (UKHSA), with funding through the NIHR Funded Health Protection Research Unit in Radiation Threats and Hazards: NIHR Health Protection Research Unit in Radiation Threats and Hazards | Faculty of Medicine | Imperial College London.

The fellowship is open to people who want to return to research after a career break of at least two years, to carry out research focused on nationally identified priorities in radiation protection. The post will focus on radiobiological research, including identification and testing of biomarkers, in support of medical and/or medical occupational radiation exposure, with the opportunity to build on the post holders’ specific skills and areas of research interest under the broad themes of the HPRU (short and long term radiation risks and radiation emergency response). The post will be based at UKHSA, working in collaboration with – and with the possibility to be based at - one of the partner organisations: University of Cambridge, Imperial College London and/or King’s College London.

Daphne Jackson Fellowships

Daphne Jackson Fellowships are unique. They offer the opportunity to return to a career in research after a break of at least two years for family, caring or health reasons.
