The University of Roehampton is recruiting to the role of Campus Safety and Security Duty Manager to join our central campus safety and security team. Overseeing a 54- acre site across 3 different campuses, this is an excellent role for someone who likes a role where no two days are the same.
This role is ideal for someone who is an experienced manager within security and has the ability to handle pressurised situations in a calm manner. The successful candidate will lead and manage a team of 6 staff, ensuring the smooth operational running of the Campus Safety and Security Service and deliver a compassionate and student focussed approach.
Key responsibilities will include acting as the lead incident response manager for all incidents while on shift, daily operational and staff management, working collaboratively with other duty managers and the Head of Campus and Safety and Security to continually review and update the standard operation procedures, develop the team through individual and group development and engage proactively with other areas of the university and key stakeholders of the service.
The successful candidate will have proven skills and experience in staff management, conflict resolution, high quality communication ability, and planning and organising resources and people.

This role operates on 12-hour shifts, alternating dayshift to night shift every two weeks, averaging 42 hours per week, with every alternate weekend off. The salary advertised reflects a 42-hour week and is inclusive of an additional security payment for unsocial working.
