We are transforming our Coaching Service to provide more proactive, personalised support that helps students succeed during their studies and confidently progress into employment, further study and other career pathways. As Senior Progress Coach – Careers and Employability, you will lead the front-line delivery of our peer-to-peer careers coaching offer, ensuring students and graduates receive high-quality, accessible and impactful careers support.

Acting as the key link between Peer Coaching and the Career Development team, you will help create a seamless careers service experience, ensuring Peer Coaches are equipped with the knowledge, tools and resources they need to effectively support students. You will work closely with careers professionals, academic colleagues and professional services teams to develop innovative careers-focused interventions and promote employability at key points in the student journey.

Alongside leading and developing Peer Coaches, you will provide direct careers coaching and guidance to students and graduates, helping them explore opportunities, build confidence and take meaningful steps towards their future goals. This is an exciting opportunity to shape an evolving service, influence how careers support is delivered and make a lasting impact

About you

You have a background in careers guidance, employability or career development and are passionate about helping people achieve their ambitions. You have experience of providing careers information, advice, guidance or coaching, enabling individuals to explore opportunities, make informed decisions and progress towards their goals.

You are confident at building relationships and collaborating with a wide range of colleagues and stakeholders. You have the credibility to work closely with careers professionals while leading and developing Peer Coaches to deliver a high-quality service.

You are an excellent communicator with strong organisational skills and experience of using data and insight to improve services and outcomes. Most importantly, you share our commitment to a strengths-based approach and are motivated by the opportunity to help students and graduates develop the confidence, skills and experience they need to succeed in their future careers.
