Lecturer in Financial Accounting

About the Role
As Lecturer in Financial Accounting, you'll join the Department of Accounting & Financial Management to contribute to the flagship BSc Accountancy (Flying Start) programme, delivered in partnership with PwC and ICAEW, as well as to other undergraduate and postgraduate programmes as required. You'll deliver research-led teaching in financial accounting and reporting across undergraduate and postgraduate provision, helping students to achieve professional-level exemptions. You'll also pursue original research, contribute to curriculum development, and undertake relevant professional training.

About You
You're an academic with clear promise for research excellence in accounting. You hold, or are close to completing, a PhD in accounting or a closely related field, plus HE teaching accreditation (or the ability to obtain it) and engagement with a relevant professional body. You bring some experience teaching undergraduate and/or postgraduate students, ideally including teaching that supports professional exemptions such as ICAEW, and clear, ambitious research plans. You communicate complex ideas effectively, work well collaboratively, and can develop competitive funding proposals.
