About TNE in the Faculty of Science and Engineering
The Faculty has led Sino-British collaboration through successful dual award degree programmes with partners including Nanchang University (NCU), Beijing University of Post and Telecommunications (BUPT) and Northwestern Polytechnical University (NPU). We pioneered the Flying Faculty model in China in 2004 with BUPT, becoming the first international university to receive approval from the Chinese Ministry of Education.

For over 20 years, the JEI with BUPT has successfully delivered several dual degrees, graduating over 10,000 students. The BUPT partnership is the largest of the TNE portfolio in the Faculty, with approximately 2500 students actively enrolled each year, making it a high profile and strategic long-term partnership.
