About the Role
As the primary contact for all research related activities within the School of Engineering and Materials Science (SEMS), you will provide high level, professional advice and support for the development and implementation of research strategies, innovation activities and impact across the school.
You will be responsible for the effective management of administrative services supporting research activities, in collaboration with the Faculty Senior Research Manager, the School's Director of Research and Centre Leads. You will lead on the operational support and development of research funding in SEMS, including management of financial costings and grant proposals, working closely with colleagues in central Professional Services including the Research Services Directorate, VP Research and Innovation's Office, and Communications.
About You
For this role you need excellent excellent analytical, financial management and communication skills. You should enjoy developing knowledge of research areas and supporting academic staff to link these to national and international funding opportunities.
