About the Role
This is an exciting opportunity to join a team seeking to influence how Higher Education approaches issues of non-success in research and identify ways to improve the forms of support available to academic staff. The project, funded by an Enhancing Research Culture grant at the University of Warwick, involves exploring the feasibility of a novel intervention focused on supporting senior academics to create a “safe-to-fail” research culture for those with a research role in higher education.
You will be supervised by Dr John MacArtney, Marie Curie Associate Professor, and will work with Dr Celia Bernstein, Assistant Professor who will be leading the project’s delivery. You will be based within Warwick Applied Health Directorate, Warwick Medical School.
For details on the experience and skills required, please refer to the job description (link here).
About You
As the Research Assistant, the successful candidate will be responsible for supporting Dr Bernstein with running the project, including data collection, analysis and writing-up. Experience of working on qualitative projects is essential. Previous experience of working on topics related to “failure” and/or research culture is desirable.
The candidate will be expected to work with the senior members of the research team to ensure the project objectives are met.
