The University of South Wales is seeking a business analyst to work within USW IT services, helping to manage, change and plan for the future in line with our University goals. This could be for one specific project (relating to digital or introduction of a technical new service), or as a permanent feature of USW.

You will need to understand the current environment, identify future needs and create solutions to help meet those needs, usually (but not always) in relation to information, process improvement and software systems. You will be helping USW to develop its functions, services and products to meet goals with internal and external stakeholders. This will involve investigating USW’s activities to make them more efficient, as a business analyst, you play a key role by testing systems and providing competitive commercial solutions. This can involve inventing new systems or revamping existing areas of the business, which may also involve process reviews.

You will also play a key role in communicating between internal departments and external parties, acting as a 'translator' where necessary to convey how information technology can support the organisation's needs.

This position is based at Treforest Campus of the University of South Wales.
