Summary of Role
A unique opportunity has arisen to become part of the University of Birmingham and to join our mission to deliver a world class British university education in the global city and international hub of Dubai. In September 2019 the University of Birmingham launches a new Psychology BSc with Integrated Foundation Year in Dubai and we are seeking to appoint a lecturer to lead and deliver the Foundation year. This role will be based in Dubai.
Key Responsibilities will involve
The post holder will contribute to the whole range of teaching and administration associated with the Foundation year. The post holder will manage the delivery of modules, including teaching core areas of Psychology and Human Biology. They will work closely with the School of Psychology at Edgbaston, Foundation Teaching Fellows and English Language Tutors to ensure students successfully complete their course and are prepared for undergraduate study.
They will teach and advise undergraduate, postgraduate or CPD students as required within their own subject area and within an established teaching programme, managed and supervised by the staff ultimately responsibility for the design, delivery and assessment of the teaching programmes.
