This is an excellent opportunity for an established or early career stage lecturer to join the School of Social Sciences, Education and Social Work. We are keen to recruit both experienced or applicants on an upward trajectory with demonstrable evidence of lecturing (commensurate with career stage) and clear potential to develop and deliver teaching within your area of specialism. You will have the opportunity to pursue, develop and plan an area of personal research and expertise in TESOL and Intercultural Education. We look forward to receiving your application.

The successful candidate must have:

  • A primary degree (at least 2:1) in Education, Languages, Linguistics, English Language, Psychology, Bilingual Education, Philology or a related field.
  • Hold or be about to obtain a PhD in Education, TESOL, Applied Linguistics, Intercultural Education, Languages, Linguistics, English Language, Bilingual Education, English Medium Instruction/Education, Philology or a related field
  • A publication record (including papers in press) commensurate with stage of career that is REF returnable
  • Potential to earn external research income
  • Research interests that are sustainable and which complement or enhance research activities of School in TESOL and Intercultural Education
  • Proven research experience in a relevant field
  • Relevant teaching experience (commensurate with stage in career) demonstrating the potential to develop and deliver teaching in a relevant area
  • Ability to design course materials and to plan and organise the delivery and assessment of taught postgraduate courses in TESOL and Intercultural Education
