This is a great opportunity to join a high achieving team that supports the work of the Library with the production of learning materials, outreach and teaching, and service enhancement. You will be joining the Academic Services Division, leading a team of three Academic Support Officers and working closely with the Head of Academic Services and other divisional managers to progress service developments through evidence-based research and the delivery of a range of projects.
You will be educated to degree level or equivalent and have experience of working in an academic / specialist library or related service. You will need to be highly self-motivated and have a good understanding of modern teaching and learning methods, including effective use of e-learning applications. A high level of computer literacy including social media, multimedia and video-editing – plus an appreciation of their potential for the development of library services – is essential. Alongside excellent technical skills you must have strong organisational, communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with a wide variety of stakeholders across the University, including students, Library colleagues, academic staff and other professional service teams. Strong teamwork is essential for success in this role.
