We are looking for an experienced, self-motivated Personal Assistant to provide comprehensive administrative and secretarial support to Professor Alison Noble OBE FRS FREng, as well as Research Group Administration support to both Professor Noble and to other academic colleagues in the Biomedical Image Analysis cluster at the Oxford Institute of Biomedical Engineering.
Working in an exciting, dynamic research environment, you will assist in the co-ordination of the academic research, leadership and administrative responsibilities of the Professor Noble. Professor Noble also holds several senior external positions and responsibilities and you will be required to support her in her multiple endeavours. Professor Noble’s research team currently consists of 21 members and a Senior Research Manager oversees the operational management of her research portfolio. Additionally, you will support other Biomedical Image Analysis cluster faculty (currently 5 faculty members) on research group administration. You will also contribute as an active member to the administrative team in the IBME, which is overseen by the Office Manager.
This permanent role is full-time (although 30 hours a week would be considered) and is based at the Institute of Biomedical Engineering (Headington, Oxford).
You will have experience of managing the office of a senior member of staff and providing excellent service, as well as the ability to organise and prioritise a varied workload efficiently in order to meet deadlines, coping with unpredictable volumes of work without supervision. Experience of diary management and managing administrative processes, including making complex travel arrangements is also essential, as well as excellent computer skills including word processing, spreadsheets, email and other office applications.
Informal enquiries may be addressed to Professor Noble (email: firstname.lastname@example.org).
